ChemGen has designed a reliable spray application system for the liquid product which it installs in feed mills and thereafter regularly services and maintains. ChemGen has successfully applied Hemicell^® from several locations in the feed production process, including at the pellet die, at the exit of the cooler, in augers, and in fat roto-coaters. Uniform application of Hemicell^® is verified and maintained by regular sampling and analysis. ChemGen's application system is designed around a rugged and precise diaphragm metering pump and occupies only 5 ft³ of space in the feed mill. This pump meters the amount of Hemicell^® concentrate withdrawn from the drum and a static mixer is used to mix the pumped concentrate with water. This solution is then applied to the feed. About one quart of the solution is applied to a ton of feed, adding only 0.1% to 0.2% moisture to the feed. Hemicell^® concentrate has a shelf-life of more than six months under typical warehouse/field conditions.

To support our customers, ChemGen provides the following services:

• ChemGen will install and service the Hemicell^® application equipment at no charge to its customers. Read more about ChemGen's Post-Pellet Application Systems.
• ChemGen will assay feed samples supplied by the customer to assure that proper levels of Hemicell^® are being applied to the feed. ChemGen's scientific staff will train the laboratory staff of the customer to perform the assay if desired. Read more about ChemGen's Automated Robotic Assay Systems.
• ChemGen will monitor customer usage of Hemicell^® and compare that against feed production as another check that the correct amount of Hemicell^® is being applied to the feed.
• In field test situations, ChemGen will assist in the design of statistically-valid tests and will perform the statistical analysis of the results.
